I also searched Aljazeera and found 1 mention, the Daily Star, 1 mention, and similar results for other Arab media. It seems that the story is mainly in alternative press.
Lousy poster, the supporters did not do the cause any favors with this comparison. ... regardless of where you stand on the issue. The poor dog did not choose to stop eating.
I'll take your word for that, vza. Did the BBC call them Palestinian hunger strikers in Israeli prisons? For the life of me I can't see how the BBC could report this story without straying into forbidden territory. I suppose Mark Regev could have written the report for them. In case the message isn't coming across, I loathe the BBC and its works and pomps.
I often read claims by people on the Left and the Right that the BBC is biased! Supporters of Israel claim the BBC is biased toward the Palestinians and Pro-Palestinians claim the opposite. Which is it? I don't see or hear BBC news enough to make a judgment, but I do love many of their dramas.
I'm still disgusted with the BBC decision to cancel the legal drama, Garrow's Law!
Garrow's Law? I never watched it. I try to avoid costume dramas, especially ones that are likely to make a strong feature of filth and squalor. Did I get it wrong? My current viewing is limited to repeats of "Big Bang Theory" and news. The rest - apart from 'reality' TV which we both abhor - is my wife's territory; antiques, cooking, and British cop shows.
"Grandad's swearing at the telly..." (Alan Klein, "What a Crazy World.")
Old, tired and somewhat disillusioned, but trying to keep up standards. Aware that capitalism cannot be reformed, but despairing of its dissolution in the near future, I use whatever means are available to me to avoid capitulation. I join forces with other resisters in the Industrial Workers of the World.

The BBC did have stories about Palestinian hunger strikers, they just did not name these two in particular.

Surprisingly, BBC did mention Israeli prisons.
