This is the only photograph I ever took of a Hull building, any building in fact. It was the poster I was interested in, not the steel and glass consumer trap it's hanging from. The colours are of HULL FC, one of the town's rugby league clubs. The slogan was probably the brainchild of some overpaid PR parasite based in London. We thick northerners could never have come up with it [hint of sarcasm]. But it strikes a chord.
It's for TGIA, aka Athéedieumerci.

Merci mon grand. I appreciate the effort. It looks like those Westfield shopping centres we have everywhere in Sydney suburbs...As for the slogan it could well be "Hull and Back". Just joking because it looks more like a shopper's heaven...
N.B: The verification word I need to type underneath is French! Weird coincidence!
It's called "the St. Stephen's Shopping Centre" (the patron saint of shoppers?) I call it the Cathedral of Consumerism. It was partly built on an open space called St. Stephen's Square where public protest meetings were held once upon a time. O tempora, O mores!
There's an old Yorkshire prayer, "From Hull, Hell and Halifax Good Lord deliver us." Apparently it was very easy to in the remote past to fall foul of authority in Hull and end up on the gallows. I don't what the problem was with Halifax.
P.S., I didn't know there was a verification requirement here, so , as you say, coincidence.
Yes there's a word verification requirement but obviously not for the admin. but it's smooth and easy unlike this site "Washington note"

where I was arguing with a primitive, archaic hasbara hack and every time I wanted to post a comment/reply I had to type a word verification..It was NEVER NEVER right..Out of maybe more than 100 attempts at posting something, I was only successful 3 times..a coincidence I'm sure..It's as if the evil system has a life on its own and it's vicious and cruel...I gave up...
