Funny thing -
First reports of the raid on the Bin Ladin compound stated that there were no phones or computers, a precaution against electronic tracking. Later reports said that the hit squad took laptops away for examination.

If you have a shufty at the Yank's DoD graphics you'll see the satellite dish on one of the buildings.

They seem to be compulsory on any dwelling in Pakistan.

Really Jemmy? You realize computers don't have to be connected to the Internet right? That is why there were information laden CDs laying about. Even our sworn enemies can't live without American created technology...:)

Doesnt mean the satellite dish was hooked up, or did anything other than beam in a tv signal. I hardly think they could detect OBL by whether he watched American Idol or not.

Point I'm making, one of those reports was false, like so much about this story. The first report said NO phones or computers.

Ever read a news report about something with which you have intimate knowledge? I have, about somewhat mild subjects - ball games, obits, etc. They still almost always get some facts wrong. Its not a conspiracy. Its the nature of reporting on various subjects of which there is little knowledge and less time.

I think if they had wanted to time it just right, Obama would have waited to closer to the election. Or GWB would have taken him out before leaving office, as one last exclamation. Isnt that obvious to you?

After the CIA discovered bin Laden's suburban compound, they realized that a satellite dish provided a television feed to bin Laden's compound. The video also reveals that bin Laden had a computer in his home, though officials say there were no Internet or phone lines running from the house.

Ok, they had computers but didn't use them for communication puposes. Case closed. And Usama had satellite TV so he could watch Arsenal's games.
The trouble with Washington yarn-spinners is they turn everything into a pitch for a Hollywood action flick -
"There was scarcely a sentence in the President's Sunday night address, or in the subsequent briefing by John Brennan, his chief counter-terrorism coordinator, that has not been subsequently retracted by CIA director Leon Panetta or the White House press spokesman, Jay Carney, or by various documentary records."

And did you hear 66% of Pakistanis still dont believe OBL is dead, even after the taliban and AQ have also posted messages about it.

Lets face it, some folks will never believe anything that doesnt jive with what their preferred version of reality is, no matter the evidence. Like you and Mr AC, passing judgement without a scintilla of proof, other than what you consider your extra brain cells. Please.

Its says more about the detractors than anything. People who see bullshit everywhere are usually the ones spreading around heavy doses themselves.
