Questions:
Who owns the Gleision mine?
Where is the management?
Has there been a statement about the deaths from either board or management?
If there has, I haven't seen or heard it.

According to

http://www.minersadvice.co.uk/gleision.htm

the owner also works the seams. Don't know if he was one of those who lost their lives.

Thanks for the information, Chris. I didn't realise that the miners' advice site was still around.

So much inacurate info on sites like Minersadvice.
There is only one site for Coal mining in Wales,
Welshcoalmines.co.uk

The owners of Gleision could hold a shovel between them.

Heggie and Ward.

I just read here -

http://www.socialequality.org.uk/content/investigation-launched-deaths-four-welsh-miners

that

"The owner of the mine, Gerald Ward, has a criminal record which includes a prosecution in 2002 for selling coal that didn’t match its description that it was anthracite, the Daily Mail reported. “Ward, who had run the mine for a year before the disaster, had not been visited once by the Coal Authority which licenses Britain’s mines."
